Public Transportation

Buses
The S3 (Chipping Norton/Woodstock), S2 (Carterton), NS3 (last bus from Radcliffe Observatory Quarter), 853 (Cheltenham) and 6 (Wolvercote/Woodstock Road) buses all stop outside the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter (old Radcliffe Infirmary) on the Woodstock Road. Many other buses stop (including the S5 from Bicester) on the Banbury Road which is also very close.

Trains
Jericho is a 10 or 20 minute walk (depending on where you're going!) from the main train station in the centre of Oxford. There are two routes in to Jericho, via Hythe Bridge Street or via the canal.

Great Clarendon Street – Approx 20 metred parking spaces on both sides of the road. Mon to Sat: 8 am – 6.30 pm day rate charges apply. 6.30 – 10 pm single charge for any length of time. Sundays: 8 am to 10 pm single charge - any length of time. Blue Badge: free parking, no time limit.

Woodstock Road, next to the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter – around fifteen metered spaces all along the Woodstock Road (near the old Radcliffe Infirmary) from Observatory Street towards Little Clarendon Street.

Observatory Street. 8 am – 6.30 pm up tot 2 hours, charges apply. 6.30 – 10 pm: single charge for any length of time. Blue Badge: free parking, no time limit.

Walton Street End of Observatory Street – there is a handful of free one hour spaces just outside Branca Deli, Cafe & Garden. You’re more likely to get one during the day but you can be lucky and find one at night too. 8 am to 6.30 pm. Free parking after 6.30 pm – no time limit.

Cranham Street – A handful of two hour spaces. Also free of charge after 6.30 pm.

Walton Street - metred spaces all along Walton Street from Observatory Street towards Little Clarendon Street. There are half a dozen disabled spaces here too. See Great Clarendon Street for charges. There are also some free one hour spaces on Walton Street.

Walton Well Road Car Park
This is metered car parking adjacent to Port Meadow and 5 minutes walk from the centre of Jericho. There are 28 spaces. The charges are cheaper than Walton Street and Great Clarendon Street.

Park and Ride 300 from the Pear Tree (OX2 8HA).
Get off at the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter stop on Woodstock Road – the heart of Jericho is only five minutes’ or so walk down Observatory Street. Last bus to get back to the Park and Ride car park is 23.30 pm (Mon-Sat), 7 pm on Sundays (please check the bus company website)

Other Parking
A few free spaces on the following roads (mostly in the evening or two hours stay before 6.30 pm), Cranham Street (opposite Branca), Canterbury Road, St Margaret’s Road, Winchester Road, Leckford Road, Warnborough Road, Farndon Road.
